Hajj 2024 Dates

Hajj 2024 is scheduled from Friday, 14 June to Wednesday, 19 June 2024. Pilgrims above 12 years old are eligible, provided they have received approved vaccines and a negative PCR test within 72 hours.

The Requirements for Performing Hajj in 2024

Saudi Arabia has allotted Pakistan a quota of 179,210 pilgrims for Hajj 2024, including both government and private schemes. The Ministry of Religious Affairs in Pakistan has facilitated a special flight operation for Hajj pilgrims, with specific flight schedules and arrangements for Pakistani pilgrims. A total of 259 special flights will transport over 68,000 government scheme pilgrims, concluding on June 9. Hajj 2024 is scheduled from Friday, 14 June to Wednesday, 19 June. 

Special Arrangement for Hajj by Saudi Government

The Saudi government has made several special arrangements to facilitate Hajj pilgrims in 2024. Over the past four decades, Saudi Arabia has spent billions of dollars to expand the Holy Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. Steps were taken to establish facilities and services aimed at improving housing, health care, sanitation and transportation for pilgrims. Today, pilgrims undertake the pilgrimage in ease, receive a warm welcome on their arrival in Saudi Arabia, and are provided with the most modern facilities and efficient services possible. For Hajj 2024, Saudi Arabia has announced updated conditions that include mandatory registration in the Sehaty app to confirm necessary vaccinations. International pilgrims are required to have specific vaccines like Neisseria meningitidis and polio. By dedicating vast manpower and financial resources, establishing modern facilities, and implementing strict health and safety measures, Saudi Arabia aims to provide a smooth and spiritually fulfilling experience for all Hajj pilgrims in 2024.

    • Saudi Arabia has prepared 172 hospitals and health centers at the holy sites in Makkah and Madinah to serve Hajj pilgrims.
    • Over 90 healthcare facilities have been fully equipped to provide medical services to pilgrims.
    • The Ministry of Health has prepared 23 hospitals and 147 health centers for the Hajj season, increasing the capacity to 5,000 beds in Makkah.
    • Free medical care, including expensive procedures like open-heart surgery, dialysis, and catheterization, is provided to pilgrims.
    • Accommodation, meals, and transportation for pilgrims would be improved to provide a more comfortable and convenient experience.
    • The Kingdom has spent billions of dollars to establish modern airports, seaports, roads, lodging, and other amenities and services for the pilgrims.
    • Each organization assumes responsibility for projects in its sphere of expertise, such as the Ministry of Islamic Affairs issuing booklets on Hajj rites and the Ministry of Health overseeing medical services.
